El Rompido Golf
The South Course opened in 2003 to be followed by the North in 2006 both being designed by Alvaro Arana and are situated in a huge national park. El Rompido Golf’s two 18-hole courses, surrounded by pine and orange groves, cross the wetlands and open out onto the Atlantic Ocean with some spectacular views, giving those who play it a unique experience. The abscence of any houses surrounding the courses makes playing on them a pleasure on your golf holiday in Costa de la Luz.
Bellavista Golf Club
Bellavista Golf Club was established in 1916. Bellavista is true members club in the British style. More undulating than many in the coastal area, the course is a challenge for most golfers. With a number of long par 5’s and also some lengthy par 4’s, just to reach the fantastically manicured greens in regulation will be an achievement for many.The wide fairways and the little distance between greens and tees will make your round enjoyable, quicker, and much more comfortable. Bellavista Golf Course, situated at a short distance from the sea, offers a great golfing challenge to all levels of golf players, with narrow fairways and a few doglegs. Among its most difficult holes, number four stands out which requires a good drive in order to leave the ball near the green with a good second shot.
The Islantilla Golf Resort
The Islantilla Golf Resort has one of the best golf courses in Huelva: 27 holes surrounded by typical landscapes of the Costa de la Luz and with the possibility of enjoying 3 golf circuits of 9 holes each. Inaugurated in 1992, it is the headquarters of some of the most outstanding golf tournaments in Andalusia, being the only one in the province of Huelva to hold a European Circuit test event as the Spain Masters Circuit in 1995. Also in the year of 2000 it was ranked by Golf Digest magazine as one of the 100 best golf courses in Europe. The course is designed to offer different degrees of difficulty, 3 options of 18 holes for 3 different game experiences: The blue course is for low handicap players; the yellow course, of intermediate difficulty with beautiful views; and green, more affordable for high handicaps.
Nuevo Portil Golf Club
The Nuevo Portil Golf Course, designed by Alfonso Viador, lies on 46 hectares of land and has a length of 6,040 meters . It features wide fairways, gentle greens and views across the Natural Park of Marismas del Piedras and Flecha del Rompido.
This is a magnificent parkland golf course characterised by wide fairways and fast, smooth greens, with gentle slopes and dog legs the course provides a challenge for all standards of golfer.
Splendid views of the Huelva coastline are available from many of the tees and fairways, with extensive sand dune beaches, the Atlantic Ocean and a forest of pine and junipers providing a fantastic backdrop to your golf game.
